I love the energy of live interpreting and thrive in this type of high-pressure environment. I also enjoy being in the moment and seeing the instant results I can provide with my interpreting skills. Over the years, I have developed expertise across several niches, including current affairs, asylum and migration, European Works Councils, social media monitoring and reproductive medicine.
While the language services industry is largely unregulated, I believe in the value of proper knowledge and training. In addition to my Postgraduate Diploma in Conference Interpreting, I have also passed the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIoL) Diploma in Public Services Interpreting (English Law) and the Diploma in Translation. I have also learned a lot about culture and communication from living in Poland, Germany, France, Scotland and England.
I embrace technology and consistently update my toolset. Depending on the setting I draw upon the correct equipment to ensure the best experience for my clients. In addition, my commercial background in client services and sales administration within start-ups, media and technology allows me to merge my business experience with my linguistic skills.
With over a decade of experience, I have built not only my knowledge bank, but I am also involved in the interpreting network. I am a member of the Institute of Translators and Interpreting (ITI) and the National Register of Public Services Interpreters. I am also a co-owner and founding member of the Business Language Boutique where I team up with my colleagues to take on larger projects.
